I grew up in Clear Lake my whole life and graduated in 2011. My parents and church family enriched my life and taught me how important it is to serve and love everyone. I chose not to go to college right away because I didn't know what to study. Instead I spent two years working at church camp in Dayton, Iowa and one year at a bible school in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. During my time at church camp and bible school I was mentored by many folks that had a great purpose to love and serve. Their time with me added value to my life. I learned what they taught me and I paid it forward with many of the youth that I mentored. I live in Clear Lake now working for a construction company in Mason City and I help coach high school boys’ soccer in Garner. I enjoy working with the youth and it brings me a great pleasure to contribute to the well-being, hope and purpose for their life. I'm looking at options for finally going to college.
